I love my boyfriend.
I started doing P90x about 5 days ago. It feels great, I think! For years, I was 138-141 pounds. No one believed that I weighed that much but I did. But here in 2009, I have managed to gain enough to get me in the 155 range. As a matter of fact, if I was 152, I would be happy... That's sad. So, I'm a P90X'er. In 5 days I have done it, I dropped a pound and a half and 0.9 inches on my waist. Hmm... does this work? Hell yeah it does.

The methodology of muscle confusion makes sense, but it doesn't interest me. It's the variety of exercises and the endless commentary that keep me coming back for more... not to mention the results! I'm sore but I feel great. It forces me to drink more water, watch what I eat (wouldn't know that I am a dietitian by some of the things that I do eat), and holds me accountable to an exercise routine that is varied... not the same DVD over and over again. It's intense, but I think what people should know is that it is what you make it. Anyone, and I mean ANYONE, can do these exercises and routines. But it is what you make it. If you decide that when you do lunges, you can't go all the way to the floor, do what you can and keep on going. If you are doing static bicep curls and you can only use 5 lb weights, do it. You don't have to be a superstar with perfect balance, 6 pack abs, and marathon worthy cardiovascular system- you just have to be willing to do your best and forget the rest.

Anyway, I don't know if this will get out there to the masses and if I can link it to my facebook page, I am hoping everyone can read it... These are my thoughts on the p90x and trust that I will be posting before and after pics.

And also like Tony Horton would say, I hate P90X, but I love it.
